The spore probiotic BSS-3 is a product for restoring intestinal microflora. It suppresses a large number of pathogenic microorganisms. It improves digestion and reduces functional gastrointestinal disorders. It is effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
BSS-3 is a unique three-component spore probiotic that is highly effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
It contains the sporulating bacteria Alkalihalobacillus clausii, Bacillus coagulans, and Bacillus subtilis, which:
exhibit high antagonistic activity against opportunistic and pathogenic microorganisms due to the production of special proteolytic enzymes and antibacterial compounds (coagulin, amicoumacin, subtilisin);
promote gastrointestinal enzymatic activity, aiding in the digestion of carbohydrate, fatty, and protein foods;
are heat-stable and resistant to bile acids and the low pH of the stomach.
Alkalihalobacillus clausii is highly effective against antibiotic-associated diarrhea, especially in children. It exhibits strong antagonistic activity against opportunistic and pathogenic microorganisms through the production of lanthionine, clausin type A, and amicoumacin. These compounds bind to the lipid component that predates the cell wall of opportunistic bacteria (lipid II), thereby disrupting its formation.
Bacillus coagulans helps reduce the symptoms of functional intestinal disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation.
It produces digestive enzymes and short-chain fatty acids, thereby enhancing nutrient absorption, improving the intestinal environment, and maintaining the energy homeostasis of epithelial cells. Bacillus coagulans also supports the viability of Paneth cells and creates a complete biological barrier system: it stimulates the secretion of antibodies and anti-inflammatory cytokines, and enhances the immune response of commensal bacteria. All of this combined significantly enhances the immunity of the intestinal mucosa.
Bacillus subtilis is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped, spore-forming, facultative anaerobic bacterium found in many environments, although its primary reservoir is soil. It was first discovered in hay extract in 1835 by H. G. Ehrenberg.
The Bacillus subtilis strain included in the BSS-3 probiotic was isolated from human feces. It is sporulating: it germinates, proliferates, and resporulates in the host's gastrointestinal tract. It significantly stimulates a broad spectrum of immune activity, including the activation of the secretion of specific antibodies IgM, IgG, and IgA. Recommended for patients with hepatic encephalopathy, as this strain is safe, well-tolerated, and helps reduce target blood ammonia levels.
The spore probiotic BSS-3 is recommended for various intestinal infections, foodborne illnesses, and diarrhea, especially in children.
Approved for use from 3 years of age.
