- as part of combination therapy for the treatment of urogenital infections: genital herpes, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, mycoplasmosis, recurrent vaginal vaginosis, cervical erosion, cervicitis, vulvovaginitis, bartholinitis, adnexitis, prostatitis, urethritis, balanitis, balanoposthitis;
- for the treatment of acute bronchitis as part of combination therapy;
- as part of combination therapy for the treatment of chronic recurrent cystitis of bacterial origin;
- as part of combination therapy for the treatment of chronic endometritis.
The active ingredients are: recombinant human interferon alpha-2b (rhIFN-a2b)*, taurine, and benzocaine.
Each suppository contains 1000000 IU of interferon alpha-26, 55 mg of benzocaine, and 10 mg of taurine.
Other ingredients (excipients) include: solid fat, dextran 60,000, macrogol 1500, polysorbate 80, emulsifier T2, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, and purified water.
Dosage and Administration
1. Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract in women.
1 suppository (250,000 IU, 500,000 IU, or 1,000,000 IU, depending on the severity of the disease) vaginally or rectally (depending on the nature of the disease) twice daily for 10 days. For protracted cases, 1 suppository is administered three times a week, every other day, for 1-3 months. For severe vaginal infections and inflammation, one 500,000 IU suppository may be administered intravaginally in the morning and one 1,000,000 IU suppository rectally at night, along with a suppository containing antibacterial/fungicidal agents. To normalize local immunity during the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract in women 13-40 weeks pregnant, one 250,000 IU suppository is administered vaginally twice daily for 10 days.
2. Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract in men.
Rectally, one suppository (500,000 IU or 1,000,000 IU, depending on the severity of the disease) twice daily for 10 days. 3. As part of the combination therapy of acute bronchitis in adults.
1 suppository (1,000,000 IU) rectally twice daily for 5 days.
4. As part of the combination therapy of chronic recurrent cystitis in adults.
During an exacerbation, take 1 suppository (1,000,000 IU) rectally twice daily for 10 days in combination with a standard course of antibacterial therapy, then 1 suppository (1,000,000 IU) rectally every other day for 40 days to prevent relapse.
5. As part of the combination therapy of chronic endometritis in adults.
Rectally, 1 suppository (1,000,000 IU) 2 times a day for 10 days, then 1 suppository (500,000 IU) rectally 2 times a day for 10 days, then 1 suppository (1,000,000 IU) rectally every other day for 10 days.
