NoxyMood (PE-22-28) is a synthetic derivative of the naturally occurring peptide spadin that binds to TREK-1.

TREK-1 is found in areas of the brain that control mood, memory, and learning.

Spadin is a secreted peptide derived from aiglin. It is an antagonist of the TREK-1 receptor, a two-pore potassium channel identified as a potential target for the treatment of depression and as a possible neurogenic regulator.
