TB-Gen (TB-500) is a synthetic version of thymosin beta 4 (TB4), a natural 44-amino acid peptide found in all human and animal cells.
Intense exercise wears out joints quickly. Cartilage cells fail to secrete enough extracellular proteins to form the interarticular spacer. This spacer is gradually destroyed by other extracellular compounds (metalloproteases). This leads to pain and joint damage.
Thymosin beta 4 helps cartilage cells synthesize substances that then form the intercellular spacer and build cartilage from within.
