The probiotic BSR-1 is a unique product containing bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, and the reparative peptide BRS-157. It promotes intestinal mucosal restoration and reduces intestinal permeability. It has immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects.

BSR-1 is a unique, highly effective psyllium-based combined probiotic containing bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, and the stable peptide BRS-157.

Two interrelated factors are crucial for proper intestinal function and overall health: the composition of the microbiome and the condition of the mucin layer.
The mucin layer is the mucous membrane that lines the intestinal walls. It is where beneficial bacteria reside. If its integrity is compromised, the microflora will not thrive, which can lead to a decrease in the number of beneficial bacteria. In addition, the mucin layer is involved in the transport of nutrients and protects the epithelial cells of the intestinal wall from mechanical irritation.

BSR-1 regulates these two factors.

Bifido- and lactobacilli are considered among the most important members of the beneficial intestinal microflora. They suppress opportunistic and pathogenic microorganisms and support immune function. They aid in digestion and nutrient absorption, breaking down fiber and other complex carbohydrates that the body cannot digest on its own. They participate in the synthesis of B vitamins, essential amino acids, beneficial fatty acids, and other compounds.

The BPC-157 peptide is a 15-amino acid fragment. It is part of the BPC (body protection compound) protein sequence, which is found in human gastric juice. BPC-157 has been shown to accelerate the healing of various tissues, including skin, mucous membranes, corneas, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It has anti-inflammatory properties. Together with the BRS-157 bacterial strain, it has a protective effect on the intestinal mucosa and promotes the restoration of the mucin layer.

Psyllium also has a beneficial effect on intestinal function. It can be considered a source of natural soluble fiber, food for healthy microflora, and an enterosorbent. Psyllium reduces cramps, bloating, and post-meal discomfort.

The probiotic BSR-1 is recommended for supporting normal intestinal function, restoring healthy microflora, strengthening the immune system, and preventing infectious diseases and inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract.

Combination options for probiotics in the BS line are described in the article at the link.
