Place of origin of bischofite - Volgograd region, Russia
Bischofite is a hydrous magnesium chloride mineral with formula MgCl2·6H2O. It belongs to halides and is a sea salt concentrate. It contains many macro- and micro-elements vital for human health, in much higher concentrations than can be found in sea or ocean salt. The main bischofite compound is magnesium chloride (up to 350 g/L), moreover, it contains about 70 other elements as impurities, including potassium, sodium, bromine, boron, calcium, silicon, molybdenum, silver, zinc, iron and copper.
Bishofite mineral brine is a transparent, yellowish, oily liquid, purified from mechanical impurities, odorless. The product contains hexahydrate magnesium chloride, calcium sulfate, calcium chloride, calcium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and trace elements: bromine, iodine, honey, iron, potassium, silicon, molybdenum, titanium, lithium, selenium, phosphorus, etc.
Bifoshit has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, antimicrobial, moderately analgesic effect, accelerates tissue regeneration, increases immunity, restores the local structure of the skin to the penetration of infections. Relieves the state of nervous tension
Taking into account that bischofite brine in a dilution of 1:50 is an analogue of iodine-bromine waters, bischofite baths are prescribed for diseases:
- The musculoskeletal system (arthritis, arthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteochondrosis, the consequences of trauma).
- Peripheral nervous system (radiculitis, neuritis, ganglionitis), central nervous system (functional disorders - neuroses, neurasthenia, climacteric syndrome, vegetative-vascular dystonia).
- Cardiovascular system (atherosclerosis, hypertension I - II degree, functional disorders, peripheral vascular disease, etc.).
- Female genital area (inflammatory, dyshormonal disorders).
- Cardiovascular system (atherosclerosis, hypertension I - II degree, functional disorders, peripheral vascular disease, etc.).
Contraindications:
Bischofite baths are contraindicated in the event of bromism and iodism, as well as in general contraindications for balneotherapy.
FOR BATHS: Pour 2 liters of bischofite per 100 liters of water into the bath, bring the temperature to 35-37oC. In this case, the concentration will be 1:50. Apply in the form of local or general baths at a temperature of 35-37oC for 10-15 minutes. Course 12-14 baths every other day
COMPRESSES: Used for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, muscle contractures in children with cerebral palsy, in geriatric practice. Heat the sore spot for 3-5 minutes, rub in bischofite lightly for 3-5 minutes and apply bischofite compress. Leave the compress for 8-10 hours (for patients with dysfunction of the cardiovascular system for 6-7 hours), then rinse off the remains with warm water.
Course: 12-14 procedures every other day. For children, dilute bischofite 1: 2. A second course of treatment in 1-2 months.
