Sage hydrolat is a mild astringent tonic, anti-aging elixir, natural deodorant and antiseptic.
The action of the hydrocarbon components of sage hydrolate is aimed at slowing down oxidative processes in the cell. The slightly acidic environment that flower water creates on the skin and which bacteria do not like so much promotes rapid regeneration of epidermal cells. Terpenoids, which help in the fight against bacteria, also provide the deodorizing properties of the hydrolate. The mild astringent effect of sage is barely felt by the skin, but it manifests itself in a noticeable tightening of the pores. This floral water tames the work of the sebaceous glands along with mint, witch hazel and green tea hydrolates.
