1 g of gel for external use contains:
active substances:
troxerutin 20 mg
dexpanthenol 50 mg
sodium heparin 1.7 mg (corresponds to 300 IU);
Excipients:
carbomer 7 mg
propylene glycol 100 mg,
methyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.8 mg,
propyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.2 mg,
trolamine 4.2 mg
purified water up to 1 g.
Troxevasin Neo is a combined preparation for external use. The action is due to its constituent ingredients:
Troxerutin is an angioprotective agent. It has P-vitamin activity: it has a venotonic, venoprotective, decongestant, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant and antioxidant effect. Reduces the permeability and fragility of capillaries, increases their tone. Increases the density of the vascular wall. It contributes to the normalization of microcirculation and tissue trophism, reduces congestion.
Heparin is a direct-acting anticoagulant, a natural anticoagulant factor in the body. Prevents thrombosis, activates the fibrinolytic properties of blood, improves local blood flow. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, promotes the regeneration of connective tissue due to inhibition of the activity of hyaluronidase.
Dexpanthenol - provitamin B5 - in the skin turns into pantothenic acid, which is part of coenzyme A, which plays an important role in acetylation and oxidation processes. Improving metabolic processes, dexpanthenol promotes the regeneration of damaged tissues; improves heparin absorption.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied topically, the active substances are rapidly absorbed by the skin.
Heparin accumulates in the upper layers and actively binds to skin proteins. For external use, a small amount of heparin enters the systemic circulation, without exerting a systemic effect, without causing any changes in blood coagulation parameters. It does not cross the placental barrier.
Dexpanthenol penetrates into all layers of the skin and turns into pantothenic acid, binds to plasma proteins (mainly with beta-globulin and albumin). Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body and is excreted unchanged.
After 30 minutes, troxerutin is found in the dermis, and after 2-5 hours in the subcutaneous fat. The penetration of troxerutin into the systemic circulation is clinically insignificant.
Indications
Varicose veins;
Chronic venous insufficiency with symptoms such as: swelling and pain in the legs; feeling of heaviness, fullness, tired legs; spider veins and nets, convulsions, paresthesias;
Thrombophlebitis;
Periflebitis;
Varicose dermatitis;
Pain and swelling of a traumatic nature (with bruises, sprains, injuries).
Pregnancy and lactation
Troxevasin Neo is approved for use during pregnancy and during lactation (breastfeeding).
Contraindications
open infected wounds or wounds with abundant exudation at the site of application;
hypersensitivity to the components of the drug Troxevasin Neo;
age less than 18 years (experience of use is absent).
Side effects
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching (at the place of application of the drug).
Interaction
Interactions of the drug Troxevasin Neo with other drugs have not been identified.
How to take, course of administration and dosage
Outwardly! The gel is applied in a thin layer to the affected area 2 times a day in the morning and in the evening, evenly distributing on the skin surface with light rubbing movements until completely absorbed. If necessary, the gel can be applied under bandages or elastic stockings.
The success of the drug treatment to a large extent depends on its regular use for a long time. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. The need for a longer treatment is determined by the attending physician.
A second course of treatment is recommended 2-3 times a year.
It is recommended to combine with taking troxevasin capsules to enhance the effect.
Overdose
An overdose is unlikely due to the low systemic absorption of the active components of the gel.
Special instructions
Avoid contact with open wounds, mucous membranes an
