Intimate gel with bacteriophages Phagogyn (hereinafter - Phagogyn) is used to normalize the intimate microbiota. Phagogyn helps to prevent bacterial infections of the intimate area.
Phagogyn contains a complex of 67 species of bacteriophages from the collection of RPC “Micromir”, which inhibit the growth of relevant strains of the following bacteria:

Practical application of bacteriophages
Bacteriophages (Ancient Greek: bacteria eaters) are viruses that selectively affect bacteria: each type of bacteriophage is active only against a certain type of bacteria and is neutral against other types. Bacteriophages that kill pathogenic bacteria without disturbing the human normal microbiota are used in clinical practice. This allows their use in all categories of patients (including newborns, pregnant and lactating women) as an effective and safe antibacterial agent for prevention and therapy, including in combination with antibiotics. Prophylactic use of bacteriophages is especially relevant when clinical signs of bacterial infection are absent, but it is undesirable to use antibiotics due to their side effects. Dosage form
Gel in a 50 ml bottle with a dispenser and a protective cap.
Composition
• active substances: sterile suspension of phage particles in physiological solution;
• excipients: purified water, carbopol, calendula extract, kathon.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of Phagogyn.
How to use
• Phagogyn is applied to the intimate areas of the body at home.
• Under the conditions of a specialist's reception, Phagogyn is applied to the affected or injured areas of the intimate organs after medical manipulations or surgical interventions.
IMPORTANT! Do not apply Phagogyn to closed foci of inflammation that do not have or have a limited outflow of exudate from the focus (for example, sutured wounds, etc.). The application of Phagogyn to such foci can lead to a pronounced exacerbation of the inflammatory process and/or edema and/or lymphostasis.
Dosage and application
• In a complex of independent hygienic procedures for the care for the intimate area organs to normalize the microflora:
2-3 ml of Phagogyn (two to three presses) 1-2 times a day after hygienic measures.
The duration of the use of Phagogyn as the intimate area care product is not limited.
• Care for the intimate area organs in men and women with these risk factors:

2-3 ml of Phagogyn (two to three presses) 2-3 times a day after hygienic measures.
The duration of the use of Phagogyn as the intimate area care product is not limited.
• Care for the intimate area organs in men and women caused by lesions and injuries:
2-3 ml of Phagogyn (two to three presses) 2-3 times a day after hygienic measures until signs of lesions, injuries disappear.
The following is a recommended regimen for daily care.
• As a care product for bacterial inflammatory diseases of intimate area organs in women:
1-3 ml (one to three presses) 2-4 times a day (depending on the intensity of the inflammatory process) after hygienic measures for 7 days, then 1-3 ml (one to three presses) 2 times a day after hygienic procedures for 7 days.

The dose of Phagogyn is determined by the specialist based on the clinical situation.
Phagogyn is applied after hygienic treatment and therapeutic manipulations until clinical signs disappear. It is recommended to combine with application at home: 2-3 ml of Phagogyn (two to three presses) 2-3 times a day after hygienic measures for 7-14 days.
IMPORTANT! At the initial stage, when there is an inflammatory focus, it is advised to use of Phagogyn more frequently with an interval of 1-2 hours until clinical signs and pain disappear.
The specialist determines the regimen, the frequency and amount of use of Phagogyn based on the clinical situation.
Interaction
• Antibacterial drugs of systemic action:
• Phagogyn can be used simultaneously with systemic antibacterial therapy.
• Antiseptic, antibacterial and other topical medications:
• It is acceptable to use Phagogyn together with chlorhexidine digluconate 0.05% and 0.2% solutions, hydroxymethylquinoxalindioxide 2.0%, agents with metronidazole, ointments with chloramphenicol and methyluracil.
• It is acceptable to use Phagogyn sequentially at intervals of at least 20 minutes after using the following remedies:
- based on octenidine and phenoxyethanol;
- based on polyacrylic acid salts;
- hydrogen peroxide solutions;
- based on povidone iodine.
Special directions
Protect the dispenser from dirt and foreign substances. Clean any gel residue from the disperser and the cap. Always close the dispenser with the protective cap after use.
Transportation, storage and shelf life
Store at temperatures from 4 to 25°C. C. Shelf life is 24 months from the date of release if storage conditions are observed. Do not heat, avoid direct sunlight, avoid freezing.
