Solution for oral and rectal administration
COMPOSITION: Sterile purified filtrate of phagolysates of the most common Salmonella (Appelman activity) gr. A - Salmonella paratyphi A; gr. B - S. paratyphi B. S. heicelherg; gr. C - S. newport, S. choleraesuis, S. oranienburg, S. infantis, rp. D - S. dublin, S. enlerilidis; gr. E - S. anatum, S. newlands - at least 10-4; salmonella gr. B - S. typhimurium - not less than 10-5 - up to 1 ml.
For treatment, bacteriophage is taken 3 times a day by mouth 1 hour before meals from the first day of the disease for 7-10 days. In case of a disease characterized by a mild colitis syndrome, and during the period of convalescence, simultaneously with oral administration, it is recommended to administer the drug rectally, in the form of enemas, instead of 1 oral administration.
For prophylactic purposes, the drug is recommended to be used to prevent bacterial carriage, nosocomial infection, during group diseases in organized groups and families. Optimal patterns of use - a daily dose of a single dose, depending on age. The duration of taking the drug is determined by the conditions of the epidemiological situation.

An important condition for effective phage therapy is the preliminary determination of the sensitivity of the pathogen to the bacteriophage and the early use of the drug.

The drug is not suitable for use in bottles with damaged integrity or labeling, if the expiration date has expired, or if they are cloudy.

Due to the content of a nutrient medium in the drug, in which bacteria from the environment can develop, causing cloudiness of the drug, the following rules must be observed when opening the bottle:
wash your hands thoroughly;
treat the cap with an alcohol-containing solution; shine the cap without opening the cork;
do not place the cork with the inner surface on a table or other objects;
do not leave the bottle open;
Store an opened bottle only in the refrigerator.

Before use, the vial with the bacteriophage must be shaken and inspected. The preparation must be transparent and free of sediment.

Opening the bottle and removing the required volume of the drug can be done with a sterile syringe by piercing the stopper. The drug from an opened bottle, subject to storage conditions, the above rules and the absence of turbidity, can be used throughout the expiration date.
